2 Data We Process
Visitor/Technical Data (auto-collected): IP address, device & browser type, OS, language, time stamps, pages viewed, referral/UTM, approximate location (city/region).
Account Data (you provide): name, email, hashed password, preferences.
Order & Payment Data: order briefs, uploaded files, invoice details; we receive payment confirmations/last 4 digits from our payment provider—we do not store full card numbers.
Support & Usage Data: order history, tickets, internal notes needed to operate the marketplace.
Marketing Preferences: newsletter opt-in/out, campaign engagement.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (e.g., health, beliefs). Do not include such data in briefs or uploads.
3 Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to run core site functions, remember preferences, analyse traffic (e.g., Google Analytics with IP-masking where configured), and—only with your consent—send marketing.

4 Purposes & Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Provide the Services / operate your account / process orders & payments – Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)); Legal obligation for invoicing/accounting.
- Customer support, dispute handling, service improvement, fraud/abuse prevention (incl. plagiarism checks) – Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Transactional notices (order status, policy updates) – Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Marketing emails – Consent (Art. 6(1)(a))—withdraw any time.
- Compliance (tax, AML/KYC if applicable) – Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
5 Retention
- Accounts & financial records: kept for statutory periods (typically up to 8 years under Hungarian accounting/tax rules).
- Order files & communications: up to 2 years after completion (longer if a dispute is open).
- Marketing consents: until you unsubscribe or 2 years after last interaction.
Data are securely deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
6 How We Share Data
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share only as needed with:
- Payment processors & banks (securely process your payments/refunds);
- Service providers (cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, security)—bound by data-processing agreements;
- Professional advisers (legal, tax, audit) under confidentiality;
- Public authorities when required by law or to protect rights.
7 International Transfers
If data are transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on GDPR safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Copies of the relevant safeguards are available upon request.
8 Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS (SSL/TLS), hashed passwords, role-based access, backups, monitoring, and supplier due diligence. While no system is 100% secure, we work to minimise risk.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and notifying us of suspected unauthorised access.
9 Your Rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port your data, or withdraw consent (for marketing).

Supervisory authority (Hungary):
Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH) – You may lodge a complaint with NAIH or your local EU authority.
10 Data Deletion Requests
Email info@essay-flow.com with subject “Data Deletion Request” and include:
- the email tied to your account;
- billing details (if applicable);
- the last four digits of the payment card used (if applicable).
If we cannot verify your identity, we may be unable to act on the request.
11 Children
The Services are intended for 18+. We do not knowingly process children’s data.
12 Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. Material changes will be signposted (banner/email). The latest version is always this page.
